Iowa Mutual Lofts

A Local Icon

The Iowa Mutual Insurance Building was built in two stages between 1924 and 1974 and was home to Iowa Mutual Insurance for more than a century. The iconic L-shaped design connects two buildings in downtown DeWitt and will be re-developed into a market-rate residential project with onsite parking, lower level storage and other tenant amenities. The building will offer studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments with easy access to many shops, bars, and restaurants.

Hobbs Redevelopment Project

Redeveloping History

Built in 1892, the Hobbs Building is known for its Romanesque Revival-style architecture that once featured an iconic copper onion dome. A mixed-use re-development project that will breed new life into the historical building by transforming the space into commercial and retail space and market-rate residential apartments.

Hershey Lofts

Hershy Lofts – Enhancing Community

The Hershey building was constructed in 1908 in Muscatine, Iowa, to house the Hershey State Bank. While the building exchanged owners over the years, Bush Development purchased the property in 2018 and renovated the five-story building into 25 market-rate apartments and commercial/retail space. The space has been occupied by tenants and office space since late 2019.

Modern Living

The building consists of 5 studios, 15 one-bedroom units, and 5 two-bedroom units that feature high-end amenities including on-floor storage, in-unit laundry, and full-size kitchens with stainless steel appliances.
